ARA is a project that is being proposed by one of the leading Smartphone vendor, the purpose of this project is to create an open hardware platform for creating modular Smartphone. With this project, Motorola also wants that has made Google to android. The difference is, if Android as software so, ARA looks like hardware. 

With ARA project, users can spatially choose desired Smartphone component, may not even be the possibility Smartphone users can assemble their own in the future. The idea of this project is to build a Smartphone based on a modular endoskeleton and various types. And modular can be composed of a variety of things, from the keyboard, display, processor, camera, batteries and others.
